Hi Leah! First I want to say how much I have enjoyed listening to your podcasts and reading your articles in preparing for our upcoming trip (just days away...yikes). You have a very calming voice that is enjoyable to listen to. I do have a question about magic bands and charging things on them. The last time that we visited DW was 3 years ago, and we set our account up for charging on our magic bands. We chose a PIN at that time. This year when updating our account, there weren't any questions about picking a new PIN, so do I assume our old PIN, from 3 years ago, will still work for us on this trip?

Thank you so much, Camille! Yes, the PIN you set up three years ago will still work. If you need to reset it at any point just stop by the front desk of your resort and they can do that for you .

Is there a way to choose whether to use dining credits or charge to your room when ordereding food? The example i am thinking of is ordering an entree charged to the dining plan but wanting to purchase a $1 guacamole to charge to the credit card. Not wanting to waste a snack credit. Hope that makes sense. Or is it recommended to still carry some cash.
Also can you charge food on your magic bands at disney springs?

Good question Julie, and YES, you can pay for your food any way you'd like. Most of the time before your order the cast members will ask you if you are on the dining plan. You can say yes and that you'd like to use credits for your entrees but want to charge your side back to the room. They are used to doing this and it's no big deal. Just basically tell them how you want to use your credits and they will make it happen!
