Everything you need to know about the Disney World Halloween 2025 party including how to get the cheapest tickets!
Disney World has announced dates for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party for 2025!
Read on to get all of the details plus tips for making the most of the Halloween party and how to get discount tickets.
When does Disney World decorate for Halloween?
Disney World will be fully decorated for Halloween by the first Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween party on August 15th.
The only park that decorates for Halloween is Magic Kingdom.
Disney World Halloween Party Hours
You can enter the park as early as 4 pm with your party ticket. After you scan your ticket you will be given a special wristband.
You will NOT need admission to Magic Kingdom that day OR a park pass reservation to attend the party.
The party begins at 7 pm! This is when all of the special events of the party will start. Official party hours are 7 pm – 12 am.
If you enter with your party ticket at 4 pm you’ll get access to everything at Magic Kingdom from 4 to 7 pm plus all party attractions from 7 pm to midnight.
Disney World Halloween Party 2025 Dates
Here are this year’s Disney World Halloween 2025 party dates:
- August – 15, 17, 19, 22, 24, 26, 29
- September – 2, 5, 7, 9, 12, 14, 16, 19, 21, 23, 25, 26, 28, 30
- October – 2, 3, 5, 7, 9, 10, 13, 14, 16, 17, 19, 23, 24, 26, 28, 30, 31
If you are visiting Disney World during these dates and NOT attending the party, you can expect lower overall crowds on party days at Magic Kingdom. However you will not be able to see a fireworks show on these dates without a party ticket, so that is something to consider.
Disney Halloween Party Tickets
Tickets for the Disney World Halloween 2025 party go on sale May 15th for guests at Disney resorts, and May 22nd for everyone else.
I always recommend buying discount party tickets from Undercover Tourist!
The discount tickets cost ranges per night from $111- $198 (including tax, which is not included in prices on the Disney site).
The price for tickets varies greatly during the course of the party. In general, the cheapest tickets are earlier in the year and get more expensive as you get closer to Halloween.
I think the best dates to go to the party are September 2nd through the 15th. You’ll get cheaper tickets and the weather is starting to be a bit cooler at night!
You’ll save up to $9 per ticket compared to Disney prices so click here to buy your discounted Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Party tickets.
You’ll get a confirmation number via email. You can use this number to add your ticket to your My Disney Experience account.
Then you can use a Mobile Magic pass on your phone or your Magic Band to enter the party as early as 4 pm!
Disney World Halloween Party Highlights
Here’s what to expect at the Disney World Halloween 2024 party:
- Boo To You Halloween Parade (earlier start this year)
- Hocus Pocus Villian Spectacular stage show
- Special Fireworks show: Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular
- NEW Zombies Dance party
- Candy stops throughout the park
- Character meets throughout the park
- Special performances by the Cadaver Dans
- Attraction overlays, including favorites like Haunted Mansion and Space Mountain

I think the ticket provides an excellent value this year with the return of fireworks, the parade, and the stage show!
Also, TRON Lightcycle / Run will be open during the party with the Virtual Queue only.
Here are some of the reasons we LOVE Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween party:
1) Ride Attractions With Little Wait
Here’s the first of my tips: The best time to ride attractions with little wait will be between 6 and 7 pm!
Many people with party tickets haven’t arrived yet and most day guests have left meaning super short waits.
We rode Big Thunder Mountain Railroad three times in a row and rode Splash Mountain in this hour.
There aren’t any Lightning Lanes available during the party but you shouldn’t need them since many guests are taking part in the other elements of the party.
If you want to ride popular attractions such as Seven Dwarves Mine Train, the other best times are during the first parade, fireworks, and during the last hour of the party.
2) Candy Candy Candy

I was pleased to see that Trick or Treating will be part of the Disney World Halloween party this year!
It was one of our favorite parts of Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween party in years past.

Here’s part of our haul from a prior year’s party.
If anyone in your party has a food allergy, let the cast members know when you pick up your bag.
You will be given special colored bags that indicate you need allergy-friendly candy.
Cast members at the candy stations will give you tokens you can redeem for safe treats at Liberty Square Ticket Office and Town Square Theater.
3) Character Meet and Greets

Characters are always a big part of the party.
Some rare character will appear (such as Dr. Facilier and Captain Barbosa) as well as characters in special Halloween costumes.
You’ll be able to meet your favorite characters up close and get autographs this year.
4) People Watching (Costumes Allowed!)
One of the highlights of the party is checking out all of the other guests’ costumes! This was probably my favorite aspect of the party.
Normally adults can not wear costumes in the theme parks, but the Halloween party is the exception.
If you want to dress up, check out the regulations from Disney regarding costumes during the party here.
5) Special Halloween Food & Beverage

Take time to enjoy a special Halloween-themed treat while you do some people-watching.
We got this Maleficent ice cream cone (she’s our favorite villain) at Storybook Treats for $5. It was lime soft serve in a chocolate cone and we really liked it!
You can check out all of the special food items available at the Halloween party in this post over at AllEars.net
6) Special Attraction Overlays & Effects
Some attractions at Magic Kingdom has special features during the party. Among these are:
- Special lighting and music for the Mad Tea Party (we loved this)
- Special interactive pirates in a search for “Gunpowder Pete” on Pirates of the Caribbean
- Special soundtrack and effects on Space Mountain
I hope this post helps you make plans for the Disney World Halloween party.

If you attend the Halloween party, are the fireworks Halloween fireworks? So you would not see the special 50th Anniversary fireworks??
Hi Sue! The regular fireworks show at Magic Kingdom is Disney Enchantment, which debuted during the 50th anniversary but isn’t limited to the anniversary celebration. On Halloween party nights the show is Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular which is unique to the party.
